Service Description

A sacred postpartum ritual to honor your transformation, tend to your nervous system, and gently close the chapter of birth. Birth changes more than just the body. It changes the mind, heart, spirit, and identity of a woman. In many traditional cultures, postpartum mothers were cared for through rituals that recognized this profound transition. Closing of the Bones is one such ceremony. This nurturing and deeply restorative experience is designed to support mothers after birth, miscarriage, pregnancy loss, adoption, surrogacy, or any significant reproductive transition. Through warmth, touch, intention, and ceremony, you are invited to slow down, be held, and honor all that your body has carried. During the ceremony, your body is lovingly wrapped with rebozos (traditional woven shawls) at key points from head to toe. Gentle rocking, warming practices, and supportive touch help create a sense of containment, safety, and integration. Many women describe the experience as feeling physically grounded, emotionally supported, and spiritually complete. This is not a medical treatment. It is a ritual of remembrance: a space to acknowledge the magnitude of what you have experienced and to be witnessed in your journey from maiden to mother, mother to mother-again, or from one season of womanhood into the next. Benefits May Include: A sense of emotional completion and closure Deep relaxation and nervous system regulation Feeling more grounded and connected to your body Space to process the birth experience Honoring grief, joy, and the complexity of motherhood Support during major life and identity transitions Feeling held, nurtured, and cared for What to Expect Your ceremony is personalized to your unique journey and may include: Guided reflection and intention setting Herbal tea or warming nourishment Gentle bodywork and nurturing touch Rebozo wrapping and bone-closing ritual Time for integration and rest A sacred, non-judgmental space to be witnessed A Note from Nervana At Nervana, we believe healing happens when a woman is given permission to soften, receive, and be cared for.
